The FAB FOUR
An Exquisite Four Ace Routine
that requires one simple sleight
of hand move, the double lift.
Handling and Routine by T.A. Hamilton

Here is a card trick which should prove to be a good
Solid After Dinner or Hospitality Suite
Closeup Routine for You. I suggest You use it as a
closer. It is strong medicine and will leave your
audience stunned...

EFFECT:
The magician culls the 4 aces from the deck and asks a
spectator to select their favorite ace from among the four.
The four aces are returned to the pack and then delt into
four face down rows of four cards each. The spectator then
chooses one row and when the cards are turned over,
the ACES have assembled into the selected row.

SET-UP:
ONE Regular Deck of New or
Nearly New Playing Cards.

______________________________________

You begin by doing several other card tricks and then
use this one for a closer as it is a real mind bender.

Speak about the ability of cards to be sympathetic
to each other. Mention that dealers at Blackjack
tables always seem to end up with 20 or 21.

That's the Build-Up.

PERFORMANCE:
Openly remove the 4 aces from the deck and place on table.

Face a spectator directly and ask: Which Ace is YOUR
Favorite? Maintain EYE CONTACT during this selection.
While the audience is distracted and looking at the spectator,
SECRETLY - Push the top three cards of the pack slightly
to the right, and insert your little finger for a break.

Now, pick up the spectator's selected ace and
place it face up on the top of the deck.

Pick up the other three aces and place them
face up on top of the selected favorite ace.

With your right hand bend and pick up the top SEVEN
cards, (down to the break).

With the left thumb, scrape off
the top ace to the left. The card is still face up, Name the
card aloud, and as you do so, turn your right wrist to
the right allowing the packet in the right hand to assist in
flipping over the ace face down into your left hand
on top of the deck.

Repeat this procedure, with the next two aces.

In your right hand, you now have the selected favorite ace,
and below it three indifferent cards.

Drop this final ace and the indifferent cards
onto the deck as if they were one card. The ace is still face up
and the indifferent cards are face down.

Turn the Selected Favorite Ace Face Down
on top of the deck, as you say:
"And Your Favorite Ace..."

The audience will now be convinced that you have a
deck in your hand which has the four aces on top.

Deal the TOP FOUR CARDS ACROSS
and FACE DOWN in a ROW.

Then Deal Three Cards Onto Each making sure
that the next three cards which are in reality the aces
go on top of the SELECTED FAVORITE ACE.

You now use a Magician's Force to have the spectator select
a packet. Ask them to select one. If they select the packet of aces,
just remove the other three one at time showing the cards
to be indifferent. If they select any other packet, remove it and repeat
until you have just the one packet of Aces left. With a lot of
drama, slowly reveal the aces all in one packet!

Take a Bow! You deserve it!
