The NAME GAME
Mental Magic With A Twist!

Here is a card trick which should prove to be a good
Solid After Dinner or Hospitality Suite
Closeup Routine for You.
It is strong medicine and will leave your
audience stunned...

EFFECT:
The Spectator selects a Playing Card which is
replaced in the deck. The Magician asks the
spectator to NAME any Friend Living ANYWHERE
in the WORLD! and to NAME the CITY he/she
Lives In! The NAME and CITY are spelled out
by Dealing a Single Card for Each Letter!
After the Spelling...
A SINGLE CARD is delt Face Down
on the Table... This FINAL CARD is The
PREVIOUSLY SELECTED CARD!

SET-UP:
ONE Regular Deck of New or
Nearly New Playing Cards.

______________________________________

You begin by doing several other card tricks and then
use this one as it is a real mind bender.

Say... It's Time to Play a Little Game...,
You all like to Play Games, Don't You...,
This One Is Called The NAME GAME!

That's the Build-Up.

PERFORMANCE:

Have the Deck shuffled, and while your back is turned,
Tell the Spectator to count off ANY number of cards
under 20 and place them in His/Her pocket. With
your back still turned, tell the spectator to count a like
number of cards off, keeping them in his hands, while
putting the rest of the Deck on the table, face down.

Now tell the spectator to shuffle the cards in his/her hands,
and when finished, to look at the card on the bottom of
the packet, REMEMBER IT, then place the Packet Face Down
on top of the tabled remainder of the deck.

Turn around, pick up the pack of cards on the table, and ask
the spectator to name a friend anywhere in the world.

Then ask which city the friend lives in...

In explanation: Place One Card face Down on the Table
for each letter of the NAME and for the CITY.

1 =T
2=A
3=H
4=A
5=M
6=I
7=L
8=T
9=O
10=N
11=K
12=A
13=N
14=S
15=A
16=S
17=C
18=I
19=T
20=Y

Take the Next Card, and place it to the side,
and say "The End".

Now... Pick up the packet that you just dealt and
put it ON TOP of the rest of the deck still left in
your hands. Then add the "THE END" card
by inserting it NEAR the BOTTOM of the deck.

Have the Spectator ADD the Cards in
his/her pocket to the TOP of the Deck.

Tell the Spectator, to Spell the NAME and the CITY
dealing ONE CARD PER LETTER (as above).

Now have the Spectator take the NEXT CARD,
and place it Face Down on the Table.

Ask the Spectator what the Name of the Card
He/She previously selected was...

When YOU turn that Last Card Over,
It Will BE their Selected card!
