Here is a trick which should prove to be a good
Seated After Dinner or Hospitality Suite
Closeup Routine for You. Your audience will
Love This Mysterious Illusion.

EFFECT:
The Spectator freely selects ANY CARD,
Places it on TOP of the Deck.
 
The spectator places their hands as they are
instructed in a Mysterious Position.
 
The Spectator now utters the Magic Words...
"THE- MAGIC-WORDS!"
 
The spectator now attempts to turn over the top card of the deck,
To the audiences surprise, the card is gone, and the
entire deck may be searhed. The card may be reproduced
from anywhere you desire...
 
What a Trick!

SET-UP:

You will need a Regular Deck of Cards.
A Glass of Water (Real Glass, Real Ice).

You are now ready to perform a Miracle.

Learn how to Palm a Card or Hide a
Card in your hand without exposing it.
 
Start Talking about the Burmuda Triangle and the
numbers of Ships and Planes that have disappeared
within the Triangle.

That's the Build-Up.

PERFORMANCE:
 
Give the Deck of Cards to a Spectator.
 
Have them Shuffle the cards.
 
Take back the deck and fan the cards face down,
offering a selection of any one card to the spectator.
  
Have the Card Noted and Returned to the TOP of the Deck.
 
Place the Deck Face Down on the Center of the Table,
 
Explain that You will require some help with the experiment,
as You say this... Cough (fake it)...
 
Pretend you need a sip of water to get rid of the irritation in your throat.
What you are really doing is wetting the back of your left hand.
Let the Bottom of the GLASS touch the back of your left hand.
Leaving moisture from the condensation on the glass on
the back of your left hand.
 
Next, demonstrate how the spector should hold their hands
when they say the Magic Words. Place your left hand palm up in front of you
and place the other hand palm down against the palm up left hand. As you do
this let your left hand back drop an inch or two and the topmost card of the deck
will stick to it. Pull away slowly as the spectator is asked to
assume the same position. Now tell he spectator to say THE-MAGIC-WORDS.
As they do so... let your palm up left hand drop to your lap. Palm the card and
be ready to produce it from a ladies handbag,
your pocket, their pocket, your shoe... etc.
