Here is a trick which should prove to be a good
Solid After Dinner or Hospitality Suite
Closeup Routine for You. Your audience will
Love This Novel Effect.

EFFECT:
Note: Perform This Only ONCE!
 
The Magician Writes Down His Mental Image,
folds it, puts it aside, and then asks a spectator to follow his instructions.
 
The spectator selects a card, returns it to
a pile and then deals five hands.
The spectator points to the correct hand
containing his/her selected card.
The Magician Now States the Chosen Card and
Shows His Prediction to BE CORRECT!

SET-UP:
 
You will need 15 playing cards (Any Kind).
A Piece of Paper and a Pen or Pencil.
 
You are now ready to perform a Miracle.

Speak about the Golf Game You Played Last Week.
Tell them there was a Five-Some playing golf and
something very unusual happened.
 
On the Fifth Hole, The Fifth Player Hit his Tee Shot and the
Ball Rocketed down the fairway.  Suddenly the Ball Vanished in Mid-Air.
When the group got to the green to their complete surprise,
The Vanished Ball was in the Hole...
A Perfect Hole In One.

Offer to show how it happened...

That's the Build-Up.

PERFORMANCE:
 
Take the piece of paper, and while not allowing
the spectators to see what you are writing,
write: "It Is The Middle Card."
 
Fold your prediction and place it aside for now.
 
Have the spectator shuffle the cards and deal
three hands of five cards each as in poker.
 
(This Give You Your 15 Cards)
 

Have the spectator select a hand.
 
1, 2, or 3
 

Ask them if they would like to change their
mind. Make sure they understand it is a free
choice.
 
Have the Spectator Choose a Card from the selected hand.
 
Have Spectator shuffle the hand.
 
Now have the spectator place the hand on top of
one of the other two remaining hand on the table.
 
The last remaining hand is then placed atop the other two.
 
Have the Spectator deal Five Hands this
time with THREE CARDS IN EACH HAND.
(Deal as if dealing a regular card game... 
one card to each hand then repeat.)
 
Here's where the fun starts...
 
Turn over the cards one hand at a time...
asking the spectator to point at
the hand that contains his selected card.
Caution the spectator to NOT REVEAL
his selected card as You are about to do so.
 
At this point look at the middle card of the indicated
hand and that will be the selected card.
 
NAME IT!!!!
 
Now unfold your prediction and have
the spectator read the prediction aloud...
 
A PERFECT HOLE IN ONE!!!!
 
Now you casually mention that YOU were the Fifth Player
and You used a touch of Magic to get that Hole in One.
A pretty Neet Trick, but you probably won't be getting many
offers to play golf anytime soon....
